Paying for a roof

How payment works with us, and the options that make a large roof job easier to manage.

The written price comes first

Before anything else, you get a written, itemized price. It lists materials, labor, disposal, any permit, and per-sheet pricing for decking if the tear-off finds soft wood. That's the number every payment decision is based on.

How payment usually works

  • Repairs: paid when the work is finished and you've seen it.
  • Replacements: the payment schedule is written into the quote before you sign. Ask any roofer to put it in writing.
  • Insurance jobs: the insurer's payments and your deductible are lined up against the written scope.

Financing options

For larger jobs, third-party financing may be available through a lender, subject to the lender's approval and terms. Ask when you request your estimate and we'll explain what's offered and how it works. Compare the total cost, the rate and any promotional-period conditions before you choose.

Insurance

When a covered storm damaged the roof, homeowners insurance may pay for repair or replacement less your deductible. Read your policy's wind and hail terms, which can differ in North Carolina. Our claim guide walks through the process.

A word on deposits

Be wary of anyone who wants most of the money before work starts, especially after a storm. A written schedule tied to milestones protects both sides.

A drip, a missing tab or a roof past its years?

Tell us the street and what you're seeing. A roofer calls back the same day, and the price is settled before any work starts.
